There's already a 3 included on the Pilot's device and a 7 included on the Engineer's device. You can only have one of each number.
Remove extra 3's from Pilot's device and extra 7's from Engineer's device.
The total in each row and column must be less than 10.
Remove numbers 7 or higher from the row and column containing the 3. Remove numbers 3 or higher from the row and column containing the 7.
On the Pilot's device, any 4 that's chosen will be in the same row or column as the 6 in bottom row, so that 6 can never be included. Remove it.
Once you've found the correct 6 and eliminated numbers in its row and column, the concept in hint six can be applied with 7's and an 8.
